The FIFA World Cup 1930 was the inaugural FIFA World Cup, the planet championship for men's national association football teams. It happened in Uruguay from 13 this summer to 30 this summer 1930. FIFA, football's worldwide regulating body selected Uruguay as host nation because the country could be honoring the centenary of their first metabolic rate, and also the Uruguay national football team had effectively maintained their football title in the 1928 Summer time Olympic Games. All matches were performed within the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo, most in the Estadio Centenario, that was designed for the tournament.
